Finally finished my final and pretty done with school for awhile. I just need to refocus my energies on getting a job and carving a career. I have some ideas but they are pretty much side projects. I hope to get something started this summer while I have the time.

April Los 1

Planning many sinister things and hope they blossom soon.

Just became a year older friday, and it feels kinda odd but good.

Enjoy Some Cake!

I will be writing 3 books this year. This is technically an excercise to help my writing skills (and lack there of). I hope to get one ready by April, then the others by June. I will be selling them on Lulu and bring some to conventions.

Here are the titles so far:

  • My Art in Progress
  • Chapter Ones
  • The Breakdown of It All

Also, I will be posting 1 or 2 webcomics to my Pluto’s Revenge Site (coming in March 08???)- Goh! & The Ofenderz!

I will keep you all informed on any changes in times, content and title changes.

Wow, what a show last night.

Who knew Bourne Ultimatum would snag 3 trophies? No Country for Old Men beating out There Will Be Blood for best picture. Indie darling Once beating Enchanted’s 3 nominated songs.

John Stewart brought the funny only he can. Jonah Hill and Seth Rogen made for perfect impressions of Halle Berry and Dame Judy Dench. I became intrigued over Honorary Oscar Recipient, Robert Boyle. Overall, I think the ceremony was actually good.

The Oscars would be a blast to attend, even if I wasn’t nominated (wait for 2010). The gift bag alone would be worth it (I bet you they all got Wiis). Just to see the celebs and maybe network abit.I wonder who I would bring with me as my date??? (sorry mom, I’ll try to get nominated so I can bring you)

NFDVD1

DC: New Frontier is about the early days of the DC Universe. The setting is the mid 50s where America is ready to forge into the new frontier and the space race. A secret evil is about to devour all life and it’s up to earth’s heroes to come together and fight it. The graphic series was a solid read, I high recommend reading the 2 volume TPB at your local bookstore. The DVD is well done but needed some behind the scenes of the feature itself. If you are going to buy it, get the 2 disk version, Best Buy’s version comes with a tiny Green Lantern figure.

I’m working on some projects. I’ll post them soon.

I’m turning 27 in a couple weeks and boy if thats not a sign to kickstart my life, a heart attack might have to do.

The kicker here is that my old hs is having an alumni game on my birthday. I’m going to invite my friends to come and hang out after the game. I dunno if I’ll be playing yet, I don’t want to tire myself out or end up sore the next day.

Now… something motivational

DC Animation will be releasing a Batman Anime DVD before the release of The Dark Knight. Here is a preview of it, detailing the ideal of Batman with the anime storytelling.
DC New Frontier is coming out next tues and I can’t wait for this Batman DVD too. Superman Doomsday had a mix review but DC seems to be making it up with these next two features.

Currently i’m bouncing around some ideas and projects, seeing which one doesn’t end up poking me in the eye. I am also sketching some art ideas and will produce some artwork for sale. I will be visiting home next weekend and hope to hang out with some friends and eat some homemade food.

I’ll keep you posted

I always found it hard to be influenced by the old great painters and artists cause I never wanted to draw guys in togas. I am easily influenced by comics books and other modern illustrators for their modern look and style. I was thinking of doing an art piece of me in the style of those who have influenced my art. I started coming up with a list of artists i dug and have influenced me one way or an other. I need to trim it down eventually for the piece. I mean the list can go on and on, also knowing that I may have forgotten some artists and styles.
